The first show for the year opens with a Don't Don performance KYAA!
★ Experiment A: Age Test with Ruler Drop
Shin Dongyup asks who is older between Super Junior and DBSK. SJ members say that because of Leeteuk, Super Junior are older. Shin Dongyup says Leeteuk could have been a member of HOT.
First up was Heechul vs. Changmin.
Changmin caught the ruler at 29cm which says that he is 29 years old (older than Leeteuk)
Heechul was able to catch the ruler at 10cm! ^^
Next up were the leaders Leeteuk vs. Yunho
Shin Dongyup asks if Super Junior's leader is indeed Leeteuk. The members almost reluctantly agree that it is him haha! Shindong says that even if others may not know it but Leeteuk is indeed their leader ^^.
Leeteuk caught the ruler at 24cm! He was in fact 26 at that time so it was such a joy to catch it at 24!
DBSK's leader Yunho was being distracted by Eunhyuk and Donghae so he was not able to catch the ruler at all. They all bowed to him as their grandfather!
★ Experiment B: Reflex Test by baseball sliding
First they were asked if they played sports in school. DBSK members attested to playing a number of sports. Meanwhile SJ members played Salmunori (musical performance), Bug Collecting, and Math Olympiads hahah!
Yesung challenges first and hits the target at 2.61 seconds.
Changmin goes at it next. Shin Dongyup is amazed at Changmin's height and measures his leg length to be equivalent to 5 times his palm width. Shin Dongyup then measures his own leg and it only came up to 3 times his palm width hahah!
Changmin hits the target at 1.93 seconds.
SJ's hidden ace member, Eunhyuk comes out and hits the target at 2.01 seconds. But his shoes flew off and revealed that he had 2 shoe lifts inside! Eunhyuk tried again but this time without the shoe lifts. He hit the target at 1.90 seconds and comes out on first place.
Yunho challenges next and hits the target at 1.83 seconds!
Kibum goes at it and makes an assumption that the arrow will light up on the right. Unfortunately it lights on the left and he loses time because he was already facing right.
The remaining members stopped the time at the following:

★ Experiment C: SJ vs. DBSK Dodgeball tournament
Top 3 SJ :: Eunhyuk, Siwon, Kangin vs. Top 3 DBSK :: Junsu, Yoochun, Yunho
:: Match 1:: Siwon vs. Junsu
Siwon scores the first 2 points almost immediately after starting the game. But Junsu ties up the score easily. Junsu shows off a soccer stunt but it lands the ball on Siwon's court to his disadvantage. Siwon showed a sportsmanship by passing the ball back to Junsu to give him another chance. Junsu wins!
:: Match 2:: Eunhyuk vs. Yoochun
Eunhyuk promises to use fire power on the game hahaha ^^. But he loses on the toss ball and gets a hit from Yoochun immediately.
Eunhyuk invokes his fire power but is unable to pick up the ball. He then makes some elaborate poses to throw the ball but trips in the end ^^.
He then vows to be serious from then on and took off his nametag. Kangin said that no one would recognize him without the nametag so he wore it back on.
Yoochun also makes a mistake and gives Eunhyuk a chance to try to score. But Yoochun wins in the end. Yoochun gets a hole on his pants and Eunhyuk says that was because of his fire power.
:: Match 3:: Kangin vs. Yunho
Kangin hits Yunho on the center of his chest revealing his strength. Yunho hits back and scores 1:1. Later on Yunho hits Kangin lightly on his chest too when they faced off at the middle of the court. In the end, Yunho won when Kangin failed to catch the last ball.
:: Final Match :: Siwon vs. Yunho
They both complimented each other on being good in sports.
Siwon won the ball toss. The scores were neck-to-neck and they soon tied 2:2 right after the match started.
Shindong led the cheering team for Siwon. Meanwhile Junsu did a dance for Yunho which Yesung joined in on haha!
Finally, Siwon won! And it was SJ's only win for the day. Kangin, Donghae and the other members approached Yunho immediately to ask if he was alright. And then everyone joined in on the celebration.

★ Experiment A: DBSK Taste the World's Hottest Peppers from Episode 1
So funny when Yoochun suddenly screamed out loud because of the peppers ^^.
But Jaejoong seemed to really like spicy food and even said that it would be delicious to cook the peppers. Yoochun said that the peppers had some sort of sweetness to them and Changmin said that the taste is indeed spicy but it is the delicious type of spicy.
SJ members were shocked and Kangin called for an emergency meeting. They decided to taste the peppers again saying that their reactions on the first episode were for broadcast only. Shindong and Yesung volunteered for SJ and they tried not to show any pain from eating the peppers.
★ Experiment B: Vertical Leap Test
Shindong said that isn't it default that long legged folks would automatically jump higher?
Yesung measured first and he jumped 81cm which is more than the average jump of a basketball player (70cm). He started a jumping show being proud of his achievement and all that haha.
Junsu jumped 71cm, Eunhyuk jumped 66cm, and Jaejoong jumped 64cm so they were all suspicious on how Yesung got above 80cm. Everyone requested that Yesung do the jump again.
It was when Yunho jumped and measured 97cm that Sungmin noticed the problem. That is the measuring device was attached to the clothes and it rises higher when the person jumps.
Yunho redid the jump with the device attached to his stomach. This time it registered 72cm. So everyone was excited to have Yesung retest.
Yesung jumped again and measured 63cm which is the lowest so far. Everyone was in a laughing fest. Yesung challenged again but this time, he only jumped 59cm!!! Everyone was quite happy to have him humiliated hahaha.
Yoochun was next and at first he also registered 81cm. As this number is very familiar, they wanted to retest as well. Yoochun jumped again and registered 62cm this time! This was exactly what almost happened to Yesung before hahaha! Lastly, he jumped to 58cm!
The conclusion was that the longer legs are not necessarily equivalent to jumping higher. They said that weightlifters generally can jump higher than basketball players.
★ Experiment C: Run at the speed of gravity!
Can the members touch a falling ball (from 7m high) after running from a far distance (7-10m)?
:: 7m ::
Yunho starts off for DBSK. 7m was easy for him and he caught the ball.
Yesung wants to hit the ball with his head instead of catching it. He succeeded!
Ryeowook gives it a try (sooooo cute!) He ran but he didn't press the button hard enough so the ball did not fall! ^^ CUTE!!! He also caught the ball.
Therefore, it was declared that everyone passes 7m!

Shin Dongyup tries it out first. He failed heheh…
Jaejoong tries it out and touches the ball successfully. Shindong also succeeds.
Hangeng fails and gets eliminated first. He said it is because he is a bit old already.
Kibum, also fails and joins the folks who fix the sheets.
In the end, everyone except Hangeng, Ryeowook and Kibum passes 8m. They stayed at the black sheet and became in charge of fixing it after members slide off it.

Shindong failed and he had to join Hangeng's team in fixing the sheets. They joke that their boss is Chinese.
One by one the members fail 9m and the folks who fix the sheets increase in number.
Only the following passed: Jaejoong, Junsu, Siwon, Donghae and Eunhyuk ~ everyone are in 86-line! ^^
:: 9.5m ::
Eunhyuk was shown to be excessively nervous and he didn't know why. He was asked if it was about pride and he said that it's about Super Junior's pride. SJ members were asked if they are rooting for Eunhyuk and Kangin said no, they were waiting for Siwon hahah.. Cruel members ^^.
Jaejoong starts off but he was not able to touch the ball.
Junsu, whose next, ran so fast that he was even able to hit the ball!
Eunhyuk, who was elementary classmates with Junsu, failed. Junsu was asked what kind of student Eunhyuk was. He said Eunhyuk worked very hard so his process is good but the results are not so hahaha.
Donghae also failed 9.5m.
Siwon used his foot to touch the ball and succeeds!

Junsu starts off and he succeeds in reaching the ball!!!
Siwon was not able to make it but his members congratulated him well.
Junsu wins in the end! ^^

Teams were divided into 2 tiers based on PD's choices. Team 1 selections were those members which the PD want to invite in more programs. Team 2 members will be hoisted up in the air using wires (ouch) haha!
★ Team One: Shoot an Arrow towards a Moving Target
Heechul, Kangin, Shindong, Kibum, Kyuhyun, Siwon
★ Team Two: Catch/Deflect an Arrow in Flight
Leeteuk, Yesung, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Ryeowook
A carousel horse is used to carry the members and chase a moving target boar. Kangin commented that the horse looked a lot like Siwon.
3 professional archers demonstrated their skills and shot a cherry tomato, a cigarette, and a pencil dead on. Then they tried to hit the moving target atop the likewise moving carousel horse. The archers were able to hit the board, with 2 managing to hit within the circular targets. This shows how difficult the task is specially since the archers were even using professional bows.
The members were discussing what the goal of Team 1 should be. At first, Shin Dongyup suggested that they target the blue area since the professional archer only managed to hit the red area which is a tad bit more difficult. But Leeteuk and the rest of Team 2 members chided Team 1 that their target should be the yellow area which is the most difficult! PD said that the target should be the red area ~ same as what the professional archer managed to hit.
Kangin tried it out first and his arrow didn't even hit the board. Kibum was up next and Heechul called him American Jumong because he was wearing black leather shoes with his traditional garb. Kibum managed to hit the board on his first try but missed it on the 2nd. Kyuhyun and Heechul were also unable to hit the boards on their first attempts. But Heechul had a close shot on his succeeding attempts and he raised Team 1's hope on clearing the challenge.
Shindong managed to hit the blue area soon enough! But then their target is the red area … the sun was starting to set so Team 2 members went indoors for their challenge while Team 1 members remained outside in the cold while they wait for their food.
… cut to Team 2 …
Shin Dongyup says Team 2 is actually the special team because they got to film inside the studio and not out in the freezing cold unlike Team 1!
An expert demonstrated the amazing speed and strength of an arrow shot to a target. A sword master also demonstrated amazing sword fighting skills. They tried to get the sword master to deflect arrows with his sword just like in the movies. He was too slow at first but he managed to slash the tail of the arrow on his next attempts.
Ryeowook was the first to try deflecting the arrow with a safe sword. WOOKIE IS THE ABSOLUTE CUTEST! He was so surprised with the speed of the arrows and his expressions were just priceless^^.
… cut to Team 1…
The members were so funny roasting some dried squid at the heater while pretending to be interested at the member who was trying out the moving target! Heechul is EPIC!!! He was being so patronizing cheering on the other members while he badmouth them on his close-ups haha! The food delivery arrived and the members were so thrilled!
While eating, Heechul wondered what Team 2 has been doing indoors. And then he asked if it was possible that they were in fact the real Team 2 since they were the ones suffering outside!
While everyone was still eating, Kyuhyun continued practicing and he actually hit the camera which was at the BULL'S EYE! Unfortunately, the camera was turned off at that time …
… cut to Team 2 again …
Eunhyuk proposes that they close their eyes and listen to the sound of the arrow. He had his own world hehehe.
Sungmin starts off trying to catch the arrow shot from the bow. He failed to catch the arrows. He was followed by Yesung who almost caught an arrow but slipped. The rest of the members gave it a try to no avail …
… cut to Team 1 again …
They are already able to hit the board and occasionally land a shot at the blue area … but not at the red. Kyuhyun gives it his Nth try after practicing so hard … and then he DID IT! He managed to hit the red area and Team 1 dances around in a circle in jubilation!!! They go inside to gloat and tease Team 2…
… back to Team 2 …
Eunhyuk's moment was disrupted by Team 1's noisy arrival and they happily reported their success. They then start to belittle Team 2's task saying that it was too easy and they even had a better environment indoors. Kyuhyun started to shoot the arrows for them. After several more tries, Donghae succeeds in catching the arrow!!! ^^
............... Episode ❶❷: Breathing Underwater ...............
Broadcast Date: Jan 27, 2008 ANOTHER EPIC EPISODE!!! ^^
Once again, the members were divided into 2 teams. The elimination was really funny with Team 2 members getting catapulted into the pool as sort of punishment. Kangin was first of the original Team 1members who got demoted to Team 2. Hangeng followed suit because he was absent the previous week.
Meanwhile, there were Team 2 members who will get promoted to Team 1. Those who will remain in Team 2 gets catapulted to the pool as well. Eunhyuk, Ryeowook, and Sungmin gets thrown into the water first. When the last member's name is about to be called out, Yesung got so nervous hahaha! In the end, Yesung gets to be in Team 2 and Leeteuk + Donghae moves into Team 1.
★ Team One: Use Props from Supermarket
Leeteuk, Heechul, Shindong, Donghae, Kibum, Kyuhyun
★ Team Two: Exchange of Air
Han Geng, Yesung, Kangin, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Ryeowook
The question for the day is how long can a person hold his breath under water. Shin Dongyup mentioned this mouth to mouth respiration as seen on movies and dramas… Heechul attempted to demonstrate it with Shindong who was a bit surprised! Leeteuk was giggling when he confirmed that they were experimenting this method with the rest of the members ^^.
Guest synchronized swimmers performed a Moulin Rouge number for their introduction. Team 2 members had to perform their own Moulin Rouge number which was tons hilarious haha! Ryeowook was the ultimate cutie not being able to dive into the pool and paddling like a puppy instead!
They were asked how long they can hold their breath under water given all the types of stunts they had to do. The swimmers said maybe they can do it for 2 minutes though they never counted. Normal people can do it for just 1 minute though. So Team 1 members competed against one swimmer to test how long they can hold their breath. Kibum lasted for about 38 seconds but decided to cheat and go into the water again to contend against the swimmer. The swimmer lasted 2 minutes 40 seconds in total while Kibum pretended to last a few seconds longer than that. Leeteuk and the others pretended to have been in the water for 3minutes and 5 seconds haha!
Team 2 worries on the fears and awkwardness of touching each other's lips (as in KISSING). So their solution was to try kissing each other round robin to try to ease the tension (MAJOR LMFAO!!!).
First up were Yesung and Eunhyuk. Yesung was chided for closing his eyes hahaha! This one didn't go well
Next were Yesung and Kangin. Kangin kept on teasing Yesung by spitting out water at him ㅋㅋㅋ! Naughty much!
And then there were Sungmin and Hangeng. Hangeng kept on licking his lips which made it look so errrrr wrong hahaha! Meanwhile, Sungmin's neck was immensely tensed and Geng had to hit him for it. Just when they were closing in, Yesung pushed Geng's head into Sungmin forcing a longer than necessary kiss hahah :P.
Team 1 then goes grocery shopping for props they can use to help them prolong holding the breath underwater. Because this is SUPER JUNIOR, their grocery shopping ended with lots of fun materials! It was also so cool how the store personnel kept offering them food to taste.

Team 2 kept on having issues with touching lips with Kangin even complaining how Yesung did not shave! Eventually, Kangin figured it out saying that the person receiving the air needs to exhale first before getting the air from the other person. Shin Dongyup was so giggly with the scene of the boys doing mouth to mouth underwater.
Team 1 *returns* with their props from the grocery (their hair were all still wet ㅋㅋㅋ). The tried out all their props and most of their purchases didn't work haha! Their best option was the huge fishbowl. The rectangular one would have worked better if not for buoyancy. While experimenting with the props, they heard a chorus of delight from the other end of the pool where Team 2 were rejoicing their success.
Finally, the two teams battle on who can hold his breath longer underwater.
Team 1: Donghae (using fishbowl helmet)
Team 2: Eunhyuk, Sungmin and Kangin
Eunhyuk took 23 seconds before asking for air from Sungmin.
Donghae lasted 32 seconds without the helmet.
Sungmin just kept on providing air for Eunhyuk (like every 10 seconds or so hahaha). Donghae lasted up to 3 minutes 12 seconds with the fish tank. They had to fight off buoyancy as the fish tank kept floating. Once he came up, Donghae said that it was too hard inside the fish tank and that his head hurts while doing it.
Meanwhile, Eunhyuk is still underwater. Kangin gave him air for the first time but Eunhyuk rejected it and reached out for Sungmin's hand almost immediately hahaha! Eunhyuk would have lasted for longer than 6 minutes had Shin Dongyup not asked them to stop already.
Eunhyuk said that he felt safe underwater and that he trusted his Sungmin hyung so he was ok. Sungmin said that if Eunhyuk was really in danger then he would not hesitate to do the same since Eunhyuk was like a real blood brother to him.

............... Episode ❶❸: Dogs' Sense of Smell ...............

The last episode of this series starts with a strong snow fall! Kangin pretends to be concerned about Shin Dongyup enduring all the snow fall so he asked Leeteuk to shield Shin Dongyup with an umbrella. This gave him about 20 seconds of MC time hahah.
So once again, the members are divide into Teams 1 and 2, with Team 1 getting a better deal at the experiments. This time, everyone jumps to a rope hanging from a tall bar. Team 1 members will have sturdy ropes to hang on while Team 2 members get to grab into loose ropes and fall into the pool of snow. Shindong was worried that his weight alone would cause his rope to snap though he was reassured by Shin Dongyup that that will not be the case hehe.
So the original Team 1 (from previous episode) jumps and Shindong falls into the snow getting him demoted to Team 2. Meanwhile, among Team 2 members, only 1 will be able to hang on to his rope and move into Team 1. Eunhyuk was confident that it will be him granted that he led his team to win the challenge the previous episode… Sungmin, Eunhyuk and Kangin were the top candidates for moving into Team 1. Yesung then asks if there is no way he can get into Team 1 (via a twist in the program perhaps hehe). So everyone jumps and Sungmin is left hanging which means he gets to move into Team 1. Eunhyuk asks why he was not chosen and Shin Dongyup explains that Sungmin worked just as hard last episode.
The question for this day was how keen are dogs' sense of smell? They showed film footages of police dogs chasing a criminal based on their smell.
★ Team One: SWAT

★ Team Two: Fugitives
Han Geng, Yesung, Kangin, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Ryeowook
Kangin described each of their crimes as follows:
Ryeowook :: Fraud against middle-aged women (Wookie so cute!)
Shindong :: Management agency fraud ㅋㅋㅋ
Eunhyuk :: Illegal alien LOL!
First, they tested how the police dogs would attack a criminal (Team 2) using a special arm guard the dogs will bite into (and never let go of). Ryeowook, who's afraid of dogs, tried out getting attacked so he can face his fears. Shin Dongyup also had a go at it saying that he is quite familiar with dogs. Leeteuk tried it last and he turned the dog all over the studio in his fear hehe.
Next, they tested the dog's sense of smell and compared it to a human's sense of smell. The members unanimously agreed that Eunhyuk's smell is most distinct among the members. So he was asked to go inside one of the containers and have the dog identify him using only his smell. The dog they used is called Burry, an American cocker spaniel who is currently working in search and rescue missions. So Burry smelled Eunhyuk first and he ran away from Eunhyuk's breath and socks hehehe. And then Burry was able to easily identify Eunhyuk twice even though he was hidden in the containers.
But then they also wanted to test a human's sense of smell. So Shindong smelled Eunhyuk first and was asked to identify him amongst the other members who also hid on the containers. Shindong was to smell bare feet and they smelled almost the same except for the last feet with the extremely distinct smell. Shin Dongyup asked if he wanted to change his answer but he was 100% convinced that he was able to identify Eunhyuk.
Team 1 played with the dogs to get acquainted with them. Heechul said that one of the dogs (named Wing) looked like Eunhyuk. But then Wing and Cleo were females and only Yeondoo was male. Meanwhile Team 2 discussed on what strategies they can use to fool the dogs. They decided on using sausages which the dogs love, lemon spray which they don't like, and dog poop which they despise. They had to wait for their dog, Burry, to poop and collect it though. They were so funny thinking of how they will use the poop, on whether they need to smear it on themselves or something hahaha!
The challenge was for Team 1 and their police dogs to find the Team 2 by smell in 30 minutes. Team 2 heads off first to hide and strategize. At first they tried to abandon Yesung on a cave-like shelter they found. They even sang him a memorial song of sorts hahah, naughty boys. But then they settled into their hiding areas eventually. Shindong, Eunhyuk and Yesung were together on one side. Yesung commented that they were the 3 best dancers in the team, which was received with silence LOL!
Finally, SWAT team started looking for the fugitives. First, Cleo encountered the sausage trap! The fugitives used the sausage to spell "잡아바" which means "find us" Cleo started eating the sausage and Team 1 had to lure Cleo off to resume looking for the fugitives. And then Cleo found Eunhyuk's socks which was another trap.
At 20 minutes, Cleo breaks into a run and finally locates Shindong, Eunhyuk and Yesung. This leaves Kangin, Ryeowook and Hangeng only 10minutes more to keep hidden. Kangin taunted the SWAT team by chanting into the radio. But soon enough, SWAT was just in front of the fugitives. Cleo was able to find Kangin's group who pretended to be sleeping. In the end, SWAT team won!
